Project Overview
Every few weeks, working with the Content team, when a big event or campaign is running it was my job to create custom tiles and banners for unique collections, promotional campaigns/seasonal events, page sectioning and navigation. For smaller projects when time is not of the essence Content is able to create their own tiles. To be able to do this, they needed a set of templates and style guides to lead them.
Business Objectives
Fulfill contract requirements, and promote the platform, leading to more clicks and revenue.
Custom tiles and promotional banners help promote business partners, new features and stunts on the platform. Additionally, being able to send a template and its style guide to vendors allows for the reduction of constant contact to understand material. Allowing for reduction of work needed on our end, it reduces last minute requests and changes made by consumers.
User Objectives
Custom tiles and banners introduce users to new content, promotions and features, keeping the user interested and in the platform.
Using templates and having supplementary style guide allows: the user to hand off a project to others on the team allowing them to be able to pick up where the original designer left off; or create their own creative based on predefined specs and guides.
